The Department
The Investment Banking Department provides a full range of financial advisory and broking services, whether this be advising a broad range of clients through transactions such as capital raisings, buy-side and sell-side M&A mandates or providing market and sector intelligence.
The Investment Banking Department is sector-aligned, operating across eight industry verticals (Consumer, Healthcare, Real Estate, Industrials, FIG, Investment Funds, TMT and Natural Resources), aligning the Investment Banking Department to leverage our equity Research analysts’ deep sector knowledge. Dedicated product teams across Equity Capital Markets/Syndicate, Mergers & Acquisitions, Sponsor Coverage and Investor Relations work closely with the Investment Banking Department’s sector teams in supporting the firm’s clients.
The Programme
We are looking to recruit Interns to join our 2026 summer Internship Programme based in our London office. As part of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects, from a transaction such as an IPO or M&A project to a marketing presentation. Interns at Peel Hunt are given real responsibility from day one and should expect to be heavily involved in supporting other members of the department on value-add work.
Job Requirements
- Working towards a minimum of a 2.1 degree or equivalent
- Strong academic record at A-level or equivalent
- A keen interest in UK capital markets and investment banking
- Strong numerical, analytical and project management skills
- Demonstrable drive and determination – a self-starter
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Eagerness to learn and positive attitude
